Dr. Ray Hsu is Founder and Director of the Immersive Technology Lab. He teaches courses on Virtual Reality in the UBC Future Global Leaders program and is Faculty in Residence at the Emerging Media Lab. He is Chair of the Virtual Reality/Augmented Reality User Group, which brings together faculty, students, and industry in order to showcase the latest projects in VR and AR.
He completed his Bachelor's and Master's at the University of Toronto and received a full scholarship to study at a research institute in Cornell University during his Ph.D. He has collaborated on research projects with colleagues at Stanford and MIT.
He started the Immersive Technology Lab last year as a place to find and nurture talent for the emerging technology sector and to serve as a bridge into some of the most exciting university technology labs in North America.
